First let me tell you about the plotline of this 2012 movie. Becca, the character this story follows played by Anna Kendrick, is a freshman at Barden University. She wants to be in L.A. pursuing her dream of creating music but instead her dad is making her attend the university first. He tells her to be involved and throughout some funny interactions she joins the Barden Bellas, an all female a capella group. Throughout this story there is lots of fun music and singing. There is rivalry and love and just overall ups and downs of this peculiar and diverse group.
After that simple summary you might be thinking “I’m on my way to watch that now!” or “Heck no, I will never watch that!”. Well no matter who you are or what you think, you should watch this movie. It’s a film for everyone! If you like comedy, this movie will make you DIE! If you like love, this movie will warm your heart. If you like musicals then you can dance and sing to this soundtrack daily like I do.
I have good news. This isn’t just a single movie. There are three! Pitch Perfect made $115.4 million in box office for the first movie alone but between the three movies $565 million was made. That’s a lot of money and a lot of viewers in just theaters alone. Sadly you missed the opportunity to see it in theaters but currently you can watch the first one on Amazon Prime for free and the second film on Peacock for free. All other streaming services give the movies for rent or buy along with the third one which is not available for free anywhere.
