As the Christmas season approaches so does the musical season here at GHS and the theatre department is already on it. Last week on Thursday, November 2nd, the first musical reveal took place.
Musical reveals here at GHS are an activity that Mrs.Huitt and the Thespian officers started last year. Multiple musicals are presented with one of them being the actual musical. Mrs.Huitt slowly reveals musicals til the final elimination where the students find out the musical for that year. This year Mrs.Huitt and the officers are doing it a little differently.
Last Thursday they eliminated seven of the twelve musicals presented which is a lot more than normal. The five musicals left are West Side Story (School Edition), Seussical Jr, Shrek The Musical Jr, Mary Poppins Jr, and Beauty and the Beast Jr. Mrs. Huitt and the Thespian officers are planning some fun reveals coming in the next few weeks. Whether you participate in theatre or not you should definitely go after school on the next few Thursdays to check out the new eliminated musical. I love this activity and think it’s a fun way to get more students involved with our lovely GHS theatre program.
