Sergi Unanue Solla is a 15-year-old sophomore at GHS. However, he isn’t like any other sophomore, he is a foreign exchange student from Spain! When interviewed, Sergi said he chose to become a foreign exchange student because he wanted to have new encounters and experiences as well as improve his English. More interesting facts about him include his loves of playing soccer. In fact, he’s on the soccer team at GHS! He states that his favorite thing about Graham is the people he’s met, friends he’s made, and bonds he has created. The thing that he will miss most once he returns to Spain is definitely the friendships he has made. Although he misses his family and friends, the one thing he misses the most from Spain is “the food”. (hopefully his parents don’t hear him say that)! When asked about his favorite things about Texas he replied, “A great thing about Texas is all of the beautiful places and monuments to visit,” and visiting as many as possible is exactly what Sergi wants to do before he returns home. When asked how he has liked staying in Graham so far he says, “I like it a lot; it’s a beautiful place with wonderful people.” My reply to that, “Yes, Sergi, it is and we are happy to have you!”
