FFA (Future Farmers of America) is an organization where students can dive deep into the integral side of agriculture and experience, learn, and see leadership roles taken on by fellow members. In the fall, FFA members compete in competitions called LDE (Leadership Development Events), where they learn public speaking skills, teamwork qualities, and the importance of agriculture and leadership skills. The contests have many amazing characteristics that members can improve on. Later, in the spring, FFA members compete again, but these competitions are CDEs (Career Development Events). At CDEs, you can learn many interesting things about agriculture. There are also many contests to sign up for like livestock judging, Entomology, milk, dairy, dairy cattle, range, cotton wool, poultry, and horse judging. Everyday almost everyone is involved with agriculture! Whether you’re just buying meat, vegetables, flour, dairy products or the pencils and paper used at school or even the sheets you sleep on at night; it all contributes to agriculture. FFA plays a crucial role in daily life! You too can be a part of this life changing program and help shape the future of FFA.
