Friday 11/1/24, was the most anticipated game of the season. It was expected to be a close-call game, neither side sure of who would pull through to victory. Prior to the game, Graham was 5th with 7-1, Brock 2nd with 8-0. Despite this, Graham strived to the finish line, defeating Brock with a stunning score of 38-0. I spoke with senior linebacker Jayton Hearn, and he said that offense really stepped up. He was proud of them for coming out and helping when the team needed it. He gives all the credit to his teammates.
Seniors on the team and other organizations involved with football games appeared sad and almost numb. One can assume the feeling is a result of playing their last home game of the season. Regardless of the win, the sadness ensued. Speaking to other seniors, I learned that most wished they had more time, and “just one more game”. However, others are excited for future seasons and endeavors of their senior year experience.
