As you may know, the Super Bowl is approaching and it’s approaching fast. What team is going to take home the title of Super Bowl LIX Champions, we will have to wait and see. All we can do for the time being is make our predictions for who we think is gonna win it all.
Every year only 14 out of the 32 teams in the NFL make it into the Playoff Bracket and for this year in the NFC, the teams were the Lions, Eagles, Buccaneers, Rams, Vikings, Commanders, and Packers with The Lions being first seed so they automatically advance to the NFC Divisional Round and get a bye week for the Wild Card games week. In the AFC the teams who made it were the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Chargers, Steelers, and the Broncos with the Chiefs being the first seed, which is unsurprisingly they have been killing it in the NFL the past few years, so they get the same treatment as the Lions and automatically advance to the AFC Divisional Round. Now let’s get into how the Wild Card Games went.
On Saturday the 11th, The Chargers played the Texans while the Steelers played the Ravens. These games went just about how most people anticipated and the Texans beat the Chargers with 11 – 32 and the Ravens beat the Steelers with 14 – 28. The next day was a big day for the Super Bowl because 3 teams played that day giving NFL fans much enjoyment, the teams that played each other were The Broncos vs The Bills, The Packers vs The Eagles, and last but certainly not least The Commanders vs The Buccaneers. The Bills swept The Broncos with a 24-point lead securing them into the Divisional Round with little to no struggle. The Eagles won against the Packers with a score of 10 – 22, and near the end of the 4th quarter with only 1 minute left Barkley had a clear path to get The Eagles another touchdown bringing up to potentially 29 points but he chose sportsmanship over greed and decided to slide after going only a couple yards. ”You never know,” Barkley said. “I break that long one, I keep running and I pull a hammy. Someone is chasing me, and they pull a hammy and we lose a guy for next week. Get down, put a smile on your face, and move on. That’s the thing that matters most.”(Michael Baca, 2025). For the last game that day The Commanders and The Buccaneers had the closest game throughout all of the Wild Card Games having a score of 23 – 20 with The Commanders taking home the victory. In the final Wild Card Game on the 13th, The Rams eliminated The Vikings with ease having a score of 9 – 27.
As of writing this, the Divisional Round Games have not been played yet but on January 18th The Texans play The Chiefs and The Commanders play The Lions. The following day The Ravens will play The Bills with The Eagles playing The Rams alongside. These will be very exciting games that I cannot wait to tune in for.
