It’s been 2 months since the soccer season started. During the scrimmages, the Varsity steers won 3 out of the 5 games. The district games began 2 weeks ago with the first loss of varsity in Bridgeport, the score was 5-1. The same week, on Friday, the Steers beat Burkburnett 5-1 for the first district win. Last week, varsity lost against Decatur 4-0 at home, but last Friday they beat Mineral Wells 2-0 away. The team is getting better every day and continually, improving and fixing any issue on the field. In the second half of the district, the Steers lost against Bridgeport on penalties after a disputed match. After that game, the Steers lost two games in the same week against Burkburnett and Decatur. After this bad streak of losses, the varsity will receive Mineral Wells at Newton Field, and they will fight for the win because if they win, they will be able to play in the playoffs. The team players are very confident in themselves and they are ready to beat Mineral Wells on Tuesday.
