As many know, this year with the new principal, also came new changes to WIN time after school. The staff found that students weren’t getting the right amount of school time required. In order to fix this problem, GHS disposed of the early Friday schedule. Now, every day after 3:35, students only go to tutorials if assigned. If they are not assigned, they will stay in their last period until 3:55. This new schedule works well except for one small problem. With the old schedule, people who got picked up would be picked up between 3:35 and 3:55. By the time the buses arrived, the cars for the people who got picked up would already be gone. Now that everyone gets released at the same time, sometimes the buses get caught up with the cars waiting, causing small issues. Besides the bus problem, there are no other issues with the new schedule. Considering the scarce number of Fridays this year, there aren’t many complaints besides the last period of school being longer if you do not have tutorials.
