Nearly every new school year is welcomed with new teachers and staff. Here at Graham High School, we have a new assistant volleyball and basketball coach, and attendance clerk, Nikole Piercy! She moved from Olney, Texas where she was also an assistant volleyball and basketball coach. When asked why she moved to Graham, she said, “As my kids were growing up, I realized I needed to be somewhere that provided them with more opportunities.” Another reason she moved is that her husband found a better job here in Graham.
Coach Piercy was raised in Brock and later moved to Weatherford. She then went to Weatherford College. She originally majored in business but ended up going into the education field. After graduating, she moved down to Olney with her husband, then had three children. Her two oldest children are girls and the youngest is a boy (which must be amazing for him)! Coach Piercy has been in the education field for five years. At Olney High School, she was the assistant volleyball and basketball coach and was also the coach for P.E. She says the best part about working in the education field is “seeing the kids.”
