Quiton Fosset is a newcomer to Graham High School this 2025-2026 school year. He teaches World History in room 201 and is the new head basketball coach. When asked why he came to Graham, he said, “Because I wanted to work with a good community and good kids.” Coach Fosset has definitely been around the block when it comes to basketball. He said he has been playing basketball for his whole life, and his dad was a coach, so he has had a grasp of the game for a while. He has been coaching for four years, but he helped his dad coach, so he’s truly been coaching for much longer than that. It’s safe to say our basketball team is in good hands. When asked why he wanted to teach, he said, “I wanted to make a big impact on a kid’s life and be a positive influence on them. Multiple teachers made a big impact on me, so I wanted to do the same and be a big impact on the kids who need it.” When asked what makes a student successful, he said, “A successful student brings their best every day, whether it be in class, out in the community, or with extracurricular activities.” Coach Fosset was asked why he taught history. The response was “History to me is fun, I also like how history is like telling a year-long tale, it’s like traveling through time.” He was also asked what makes a student successful; his answer was, “I know a student is being successful when they’re having a good time, relating learning to real life, and enjoying coming to class every day.”
