Honoring Ms. Lowrey Through the Lens of Others

Addison Carr is 18 years old and a senior at Graham High School. Addison enjoys being involved in many extracurricular activities, specifically the art department, as she is a fourth-year art student, and was vice president of Art Club her junior year and is president this year. She is also a member of Key Club and Student Council. Addison is encouraged every day by the Bible verse 2 Corinthians 4:18, which states, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” In her spare time, Addison loves listening to music, specifically older music, since she will never actually get to experience the 70s and lives vicariously through others. She is also a supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, though they seem to disappoint her more times than not. Throughout her senior year, she strives to be involved in as many things as possible and make the most of her last year of high school. After graduation, she plans to attend Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.

Payton Huffman is a senior at Graham High School. During her years at GHS, she has participated in StuCo, Key Club, NAHS, NHS, and Newspaper. After graduating, she plans to attend college with the hope of earning a degree in forensic psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading and starting new art projects, even if they take her forever to finish. She has an occupation as an avid Pinterest scroller and a side gig watching musicals, specializing specifically in Hamilton. Her favorite TV series is NCIS, starting from Season 3.

Brooke Parker is a senior at Graham High School. She participates in numerous extracurricular activities, including Key Club, NHS, STUCO, Soccer, NAHS, DECA, and the Newspaper. Brooke loves to make jokes with her friends and happens to be a major procrastinator. Her #1 quote in life is that “her procrastination will be the downfall of her existence.” She spends all her money on shoes, even though she already has piles of them at home that are in perfectly good condition, and enjoys watching the sun rise in the mornings. She is a particularly big fan of warmer weather and avoids the cold at all costs. In her words, she might as well be a popsicle when the temperatures are below 70 degrees. Most of her life is chaotically organized to others, but she somehow knows what’s going on. She is always right but does not like to boast about it.

Larissa Warren is a Senior at Graham High School. She is involved in many extracurricular activities such as NHS, NAHS, Stuco, and Key Club. She was born in Graham and has lived here her entire life. Larissa is a 4-year member of the Varsity Lady Blues Softball team. She is known for being kind, funny, and a great listener if you need someone to talk to. She tends to doom scroll on Tiktok and through Instagram reels. Her favorite movie is Ratatouille, and her favorite series is Avatar: The Last Airbender. Don’t worry, she doesn’t only watch movies and television shows…she also reads! Her favorite book series is Percy Jackson. Larissa likes a nice summer day in June, where it’s not too hot, and a rainy day at home on the weekends. After high school, she plans to study Civil Engineering, but she has no idea which college she wants to attend.

Ariana Harrington is a senior in high school, even though she’s only 17, but it’s okay, she can’t help it. She’s not currently in any extracurricular activities, but plans on being in the newspaper and maybe even Art Club. Ariana’s very outgoing, but it takes her a little bit and open up to get to that point. She’s also very caring and loves taking care of people in their time of need. However, she’s not the best at comforting people when they are crying; she kind of just waits until they’re done to talk, but she’ll definitely help! The main thing she enjoys doing in her spare time are going on walks or hanging out with her aunt. Art, animals, makeup, and music are the main things that she likes. Anytime she walks into a pet store of any kind, she will be found holding a snake. She dislikes overtly negative people; if they’re going through something, she understands, but being negative for no reason really gets on her nerves. After she graduates, she plans on going to cosmetology school to pursue a career in Esthetics.
