Madame Web… Flop or FLOP

Madame+Web...+Flop+or+FLOP

Sliding into theaters and right into the trash is the new movie, Madame Web. Coming into theaters last week on February 14th, it didn’t take long for social media to get a hold of this film, reviewed as “The Cats of superhero movies”. If you don’t know that reference, let’s just say it’s not good. The movie started at about 27% rotten tomatoes, already poor, and has dropped since then. Currently the movie stands at a 13% rotten tomatoes review and the opening weekend, according to box offices, was a HUGE flop.

Not only has the movie been horribly reviewed by critics and social media users but has become a joke to the actors as well. Interviews with the star, Dakota Johnson, have been posted everywhere. The actress seems insanely bored and uninterested in her own movie and it’s hilarious. It is very likely the rumors are true that Dakota indeed is not proud of this movie as she fired her agent after the trailer released.

Even throughout all of this the movie is attracting some crowds because of the bad reviews. People are paying money to see just how dreadful the movie really is. I personally have not watched the movie but am sort of interested as well. I have never seen such terrible reviews for a film before and while I feel bad for the directors, producers, actors, etc, I can’t control their own failure. I do encourage you to go see this movie… if you are wanting to experience “the worst film ever made”. Maybe afterwards, you can give your very own review.
