Gas prices all time high

I’m sure everyone knows by now how high gas prices are. Due to the conflict with Iran, gas prices have skyrocketed in the past few weeks. The highest gas price right now is 5.80 dollars, with the national average being 4 dollars per gallon. Prices haven’t gone above 4 dollars a gallon since 2022.  But how long will gas prices stay like this? With how the conflict is going between the United States and Iran, it could be until the end of 2026 before gas prices go back to normal. Some people have even gone as far as preparing gallons of gas in case the prices get even higher. Diesel is even worse, sometimes being a dollar more than regular gasoline. Despite the prices rising and the predictions of how long they will last, Trump has spoken about them in the past few weeks. President Trump has said that prices will plummet soon due to saying the conflict with Iran being short-lived, but of course, we have no idea how that will turn out. Trump has even gone as far as to tell allies of the United States to “get your own oil” until the conflict is over, which raises concerns with the people of America and other countries. All we can do at the moment is hope the conflict is resolved without a war and the prices go back down on their own.
