On February 28, 2026, the US Army sent multiple missile strikes targeting multiple sites, killing their supreme leader and other Iranian officials. After this, Iran’s new leader led attacks on U.S. interests, vowing retaliation. This led the internet to question whether there was a possibility of another major war breaking out. Well, let’s see what’s been going on so far. This all started when the US and Israel launched an attack to destroy the military and nuclear property of Iran in an attempt to stop it from developing nuclear weapons, destroy its navy, and halt their missile program. On March 4, a US torpedo sub sank the IRIS DENA, which is an Iranian ship, in the Persian Gulf, killing 85 people. Iran then called the attack an “act of terror at sea” and vowed to use deadly retaliation. After all this has happened, the question remains, “Are we going to war?” Well, we are currently at war with Iran, so that solves that question. But what people are really wondering is the possibility of it escalating drastically. Iran is also receiving aid from both China and Russia, but neither country has declared war on the US. So, based on the evidence, I’d say the possibility of this escalating too far is very low.
